Love and Other Drugs
After arriving back in England six days ago, I managed to get into the flow of going to the cinema to watch all the films that are in contention for the award season taking place in January and February. Directed by Edward Zwick Love and Other Drugs was the first of these contenders; starring the cutest couple on screen, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, they both play Jamie Randall and Maggie Murdock, a pharmaceutical salesman and a struggling artist with Parkinsons disease who end up romantically involved. Love and Other Drugs Maggie and Jamie A lthough being sold to audiences as a romantic comedy, there are elements of the film that feature such poignant drama also some unsuspecting performances from the two Golden Globe nominated actors.
