TDKR 30 second sample tasters whets the appetite & more

Image
As if my anticipation for  The Dark Knight Rises  (to be released nationwide on July 20th), isn't already at a level high; the gods that be (or Warner Bros. as they're otherwise known) has released a 30 second taster for the soundtrack of the brand new and final film. (Hopefully Nolan makes sure it goes out with a colossal bang *fingers crossed* In Nolan We Trust). The soundtrack will be released nationwide on 17th July, a mere 3 days (2 and a half if you're seeing the midnight screening) before the film is released nationwide on the 20th.   The tasters feature snippets from the score Hans Zimmer built on with his unique creation for   Batman Begins   and   The Dark Knight , which brings full circle, and puts an end to the story of Bruce Wayne, Batman and in particular Bale & Nolan's portrayal of the Dark Knight trilogy for this time period. W hat stands out for me in particular are the titles of the tracks, (very spoilerific) the focus being on fire,

TV Rant...the best chat show (in my opinion)

Jonathan versus Graham: The two top chat shows battle to win my heart, mind & my laughs.. I'd just finished watching The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV Player a couple of weeks back, because we don't usually watch that much live TV in our house, because its mostly crap these days (except for specific dramas, like Downton Abbey or Sherlock) it's game shows, reality shows or soaps, not much to whet the appetite. I noticed a big difference between The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1 compared to The Graham Norton Show on BBC1, which has definitely made me question my loyalties to Jonathan. Whilst Ross manages to gain some of THE biggest names (predominantly) to appear on his show to promote new releases; film, TV series' or a new book; and he has his own format which hasn't changed much since prime time BBC1; Graham manages to pack in a hell of a lot more into an infinitely more hilarious show. There is more to watch and be invested in, compared to Jonathan's old

The end of an era...goodbye Potter

Review  For the final instalment, David Yates and co. did not disappoint. Beginning where we left off in  Part 1 , Voldemort discovered the Elder wand, by breaking into Dumbledore's grave and stealing it. But what marks this film in all the series is the prominence of the character of Severus Snape. His story and rightfully so; as readers of the book will know, is heart wrenching and a complete game changer of a discovery. As Harry discovered in part 7, his quest to find all the Horcruxes is of the up most importance if he's to have any chance of defeating Voldemort once and for all. The film wastes no time in continuing this quest; which leads him to a heist in Gringotts bank, escaping on the back of a dragon and finally retreating back to Hogwarts for the final battle. With the help of temperamental goblin Griphook, to get them in and out safely in return for the sword of Gryffindor; the films first huge set piece is as thrilling as it was described to us i
