"Chewie, we're home"

The brand spanking new second official teaser trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens has debuted on the internet, roughly 14 hours ago and there are many emotions that I was going through at the time and are still having now, even though I have watched it about 20 times since.

John Boyega's as Finn as a Stormtrooper?

"The force is strong in my family, my father has it, I have it, my sister has it, you have that power too."

What we're hearing is a voice over from Luke Skywalker, it has been a long time since we have heard his voice withing the Star Wars universe, and nerdgasm's were had all over the galaxy in unison. But there is so much to be excited for, as this is simply the beginning of a one minute and 59 second teaser full of new and exciting Star Wars nuggets to be devoured.

Daisy Ridley's Rey on Jakku with the new R2-D2 of the new era

First off we are cruising along the new planet of Jakku, where it's most likely Daisy Ridley's character Rey, from the one minute 30 second long official teaser number one, looking very sandy on her new pod, where there are the remains of a massive battle ship amid the expansive desert.

A slow reveal of the most iconic villain in all of film history, Darth Vader's mask, melted. A cloaked man/woman placing a metal hand on top of R2-D2.

Some individual man/woman passing the very familiar lightsaber to another cloaked individual man/woman, which just so happens to look like Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber from the prequels.

X-wing fighter pilots in full flight on a planet that looks awfully like the jungle planet from the original films. Oscar Issac's character revealed whooping in excitement, most likely mirroring what many fans are experiencing watching the trailer for the first time and equally the hundredth time.

The new villain we saw in the woods in the first teaser, using the awesome new badass lightsaber that looks like a long sword in battle.

Our (more than likely), heroes of the film, running away from an explosion, Ridley's Rey and John Boyega's Finn, with the new R2-D2, that looks like a cross between a football and the normal droid.

Rey looking rather sand swept dressed in full regalia of a bad ass

The new and improved Stormtroopers, revealing the new logo of the dark side, which looks again, awfully familiar. What could be happening here?

Then we're given a full profile of Rey's face staring up at someone, she looks like the child of Han and Leia, but she could just be a new heroine, which was something severely lacking in the original films, and will be much needed for freshness of characters in the new films.

Then a series of small snippets of a battle of the dark side against the light, with Finn revealing himself as a Stormtrooper, or just in disguise as a Stormtrooper. The new BB8, some new dark side ships, a steel chrome Stormtrooper (epic) and then Rey giving Finn a helping hand, in a very iconic camera angle which perfectly mirrors the old school style of the original's, and J.J. Abrams' flavour of film making, which I cannot wait to see on the big screen.

Then saving the best until last, the infamous Millenium Falcon being pursued by an x-wing through the back end of an exhaust in the remains of a crashed ship.

Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron the as an x-wing pilot

Which leads up to the biggest reveal yet, and something we have all been waiting for, the ultimate iconic heroes of the Star Wars films, Han Solo and Chewbacca. With the incredibly, already quotable high of the trailer: "Chewie, we're home." Simple yet incredibly effective to make all geeks, nerds and film lovers the world over tear up, get goosebumps and equally have what we refer to as a geekgasm or a nerdgasm. Which I am pretty sure has been inserted into the urban dictionary and directly references watching a new Star Wars trailer.

There has been some new images revealed alongside the hotly anticipated second teaser and it gives you a sweet taster of what is to come.

Have a watch of the trailer below, revel in it, give it some repeat viewings and wish that Christmas would come sooner this year, because for most of us geeks, Christmas has already arrived. It's gonna be a double Christmas for us this year...
